How is (MOIC) Multiple On Invested Capital calculated

An investment, or portfolio's Multiple on Invested Capital (MOIC) is evaluated by taking all the value which has been attributed to the investor over time, divided by all invested capital over time.

Distributions, coupons and dividends are included in total value and implied performance fees are excluded.

Management fees and expenses at the vehicle level are excluded from invested capital.
